The season of hunting and fishing opened in Sibexpocentre
Novelties from producers and suppliers of hunting equipment, fishing tackles, tourist stock, clothes and the equipment for active recreation – all this and many other things can be found at stands of the participating companies from all over the country.
Organisers, participants and guests were congratulated on the opening of the exhibition by Sergey Sheverda, Minister of Forestry of Irkutsk Region. He emphasised that the exhibition annually becomes the traditional meeting place for the people who are engaged in hunting and fishing. Besides rich natural resources of the region perfectly contribute to the development of these occupations:
Certainly, hunting involves a huge number of people. Especially as forests make 86% of the territory of Irkutsk Region, and a huge number of different types of birds and animals is found there. Besides, in our region there are more than 67000 water streams, and these are, respectively, potential fishing docks. But primary it is male occupations while active recreation is interesting to both men, and women. Therefore scope of the ‘Hunting. Fishing. Recreation’ exhibition is relevant for many residents of Irkutsk Region. I wish all successful work!
Also Yury Vashukevich, Rector of Irkutsk State Agrarian University named after A.A. Ezhevsky made a speech at the opening ceremony. He noted that hunting and fishing help men not to come off the natural origins and also maintain their useful skills, encourage them to be more attentive, stronger, faster and more successful. In completion of the performance Yury Vashukevich wished all good luck on hunting and fishing tracks.
First of all I want to greet you from fishers and hunters of all our country. This was determined by tradition that each another exhibition is a holiday. And here the whole series of holidays passing across all our country traditionally come to the end at the beginning of June in the city of Irkutsk. It is the last exhibition across the territory of Russia which is correct both by the climatic principle and the system of the organisation of exhibitions. — Yury Zaslavsky, constant guest of the exhibition, President of the Association of Hunting-Fishing Exhibitions of the CIS countries told the audience. — As you know, now in the country there are certain economic difficulties, but nevertheless such quantity of smiles, venturous faces and desire to communicate as at the exhibitions devoted to hunting and fishing you will not see at the exhibition of any other profile. Here true fans and connoisseur of the activity, the real fishing and hunting brotherhood come together, and each exhibition is an opportunity in anticipation of a season to communicate, share secrets and subtleties of skill. I want to wish to all fishers and hunters good luck, neither tails, nor scales. Good trophies and success in the forthcoming season.
In addition, Olesya Vasilchenko, Head of the Department of Exhibitions’ Organisation of Sibexpocentre OJSC made an opening speech:
We have made this exhibition in order to make your hobby even more pleasurable, help you to achieve good results, to catch the biggest fish, to get the most valuable trophy. And we women cannot but only to support and admire your courage, dexterity, strength. Thank you very much. Good mood and good results to everyone. I congratulate everyone on opening of the exhibition!
Right after the exhibition opening ceremony on the open area of Sibexpocentre the parade of hunting dogs was held. Professional manufacturers have presented more than 20 breeds, and visitors could see representatives of the most rare of them and also to learn about each in more detail.
On June 7 the Irkutsk State Agrarian University named after A.A. Ezhevsky held 2 round tables at the exhibition: ‘Fur Auction: Results And Prospects of Development’ and ‘Topical Issues and Prospects of Development of Complex Hunting Economy in the Baikal Region’.
It shall be reminded that the exhibition will work till June 10 and will come to the end with summing up the competition on the best exhibitor and drawing gifts from participating companies.
