SibWoodExpo: see you next time!

International exhibition of forest management SibWoodExpo finished its work. For three days of the exhibition, important to our region forest complex business meetings, demonstrations of participants, brand presentations and much more were held.

At the closing ceremony of the exhibition Director General of Sibexpocentre OJSC, Andrei Shapovalov made his closing speech and thanked everyone:

As for business programme, The Association of Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for the Forestry Complex ‘LESTECH’ together with Bratsk State University and Sibexpocentre OJSC held a seminar, where they discussed modern technologies of logging and sawmill production. On September 11, Bratsk State University and The Association of Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for the Forestry Complex ‘LESTECH’ held a round table. At the round table they discussed problems of the forest complex of the Irkutsk region at the present stage. The speakers raised issues related to forest fires. In addition, they talked about the importance of reforestation problems, the transition to plantation reforestation, the conservation of biological diversity and the problems of forest health, and raised questions about training for the timber industry and forestry in the East Siberian region.

Moreover, on September 12 representatives of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bratsk prepared a seminar at which they discussed measures of state support for small and medium-sized enterprises, and also made a presentation of the programs of the Industrial Development Fund. At the same day, specialists of OOO ‘RUD’ held a presentation about their products. The company is engaged in the production of chains. The company has been on the market for 40 years. Guests of the event learned about the release of the universal chain of the company, which is suitable for all forestry machines.

The programme of the exhibition was very useful and filled with interesting events. Visitors could not only participate in round tables and seminars, but also watch performances and demonstrations of exhibitors. At the open exhibition area OOO ’Lestechnika’ organized demonstrations - wood carving. LLC ‘Lifting Machines’ organized a demo platform to show the operation of Kesla timber handling equipment. KAMI Association held presentation of new sawing equipment, equipment for processing and utilization of wood.

According to old good tradition all the exhibitors were awarded diplomas and souvenirs.

The exhibition brought together 50 companies from different countries. . It symbolizes high interest from foreign partners and the importance of holding this event. Companies from Irkutsk, Moscow, Kirov, Bratsk, Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg, Perm, Barnaul, Tver and also from foreign countries: Austria, Germany, China, Finland, Sweden and Estonia participated our exhibition.

Among the official dealers there are representatives of the German ma-chine-tool concern WEINIG, Canadian company Tigercat, spare parts for im-ported special equipment and DCF running systems - OREGON, DON-ALDSON, representatives of Kesla, Loglift, VPL Leskhozmash, Taifun Liv, JCB road-building machinery, products of Cranab AB (Sweden), ZFE (Germa-ny), SBL (Germany), Hytera (Finland) companies. Dealers of KAMAZ equip-ment, PALFINGER concern, SENNEBOGEN Maschinenfabrik GmbH, representatives of HUSGVAR-NA, STIHL trademarks, KESLA equip-ment manufacturers, official dealers of Volvo, Construction Equipment, , Rottne Industri, Dressta, Mecalac and others participated in exhibition.

It is also important to note the opinion of exhibitors regarding the holding of the SibWoodExpo exhibition in Bratsk. Of course, there is interest in our region, since it is here that the capital of the timber industry complex is located. ‘Bratsk Art’ the exhibition as a whole give participants a good opportunity to meet, conduct business negotiations, sign even more contracts, learn about the latest technologies and see the latest technology. For example, Igor Lapchenko, head of the KVARNSTRANDS sales department from Sweden told us about his experience of participation in exhibition: - For the first time we take part in your exhibition, and we are very pleased that visitors have great interest to our booth. Our representatives have already managed to sell the tool, both to new and old customers, and this is very good news for us. And, of course, holding an exhibition in Bratsk is more relevant, because we can be closer to woodworkers, and all large companies are located in the north of the region.

The international forest management exhibition SibWoodExpo has become an integral part of resolving issues in the forestry industry both for the region and for the country as a whole. This is due to the conclusion of agreements between Russian and foreign partners. Participants were able to create profitable projects, schedule new meeting, to share experiences and catch up on the latest technology. The hospitable Bratsk made it possible to bring together the largest companies in the timber industry and outline future plans for the development of the woodworking industry.
