The XXV specialized exhibition «Transport and roads of Siberia. Special equipment» began its work
Roar of the engine, strength and power of the machinery, diversity of new technologies, display of the best advanced special equipment – all that could be seen in the open space of Sibexpocentre. The opening of the specialized exhibition «Transport and roads of Siberia. Special equipment» took place on 16th of April.
Exhibitors displayed to visitors their multiple services. Here anyone could get consultation on any problem, such as processing-survey works, product diversification, sale of filters and spare parts for machinery, engineering, supply of machinery, equipment and consumables, production of attachments and satellite communications, petroleum products, intelligent transport systems, accounting and certification of roads and road structures.
The open space of Sibexpocentre was a truly interesting and surprising place at the exhibition. There were the latest modern specialized equipment, including a road machine DMK-55, front loaders DM-34 and LOVOL FL956H, a road grader DM 14.0, a road-roller DM-07-VD, a backhoe loader HIDROMEK HMK 102S ALPHA, haulers and dump trucks KAMAZ, backhoe loaders of the CASE 570ST line, a dump truck FAW CA3250 , a hauler FAW CA4250 6x4 , a crane FAW 6x4, R500 A6x2NA and P440 A6x4NZ of Scania new generation , a crawler asphalt paver G-3-01, a crawler excavator Komatsu PC300-8M0 and others.
Svetlana Svirkina, the Minister of Construction and Road facilities of the Irkutsk region, made a welcoming speech at the opening ceremony:
This time we will discuss implementation of the program «Safe high-quality roads». Over a two-year period, we received a little more than 3 billion rubles and brought 190 kilometers of roads up to standard. And this year within the new national project we will fix up 140 km of local and 240 km of regional roads, the budget has increased from 3 to 7.7 billion rubles. This indicates that all measures are being taken to ensure good condition of the federal roads
Sergey Ten, the Deputy of the State Duma of Russia and member of the Committee on Transport and Construction, also made a speech:
Congratulations on the exhibition opening! Its central event is an upcoming conference. There are two directions of tasks facing our State: the national project mentioned by Svetlana Dmitrievna and a comprehensive plan for the modernization of Russian transport infrastructure by 2024. For the implementation of these tasks the State plans to allocate more than 11 trillion rubles. Certainly, we expect serious changes in security environments, increasing of cargo and passenger traffic by railways and roads, modernization of airports. Deputy Director of the Department of State policy on road facilities of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Evgeny Nosov in his welcoming speech pointed out the following: «Roads are the most important part of citizens' comfortable life, and the tasks set by the national project and the presidential decree have to be solved. It also includes contract conclusion, the use of the newest technologies and the improvement of legal and technical frameworks for road construction. I believe that this platform will definitely contribute to the fulfilment of these goals».
Then the floor was given to Igor Starygin, the Director General of the Association «RADOR
2019 is the year of the national project's beginning. Four goals directly related to roads were identified: the first is to bring into a standard state up to 50% of the roads, the second is to reduce congested roads by 10%, the third is to reduce road accidents by twice and the last but not the least is to reduce the social risk on the roads by 3.5 times. We will exchange views and ideas at the conference and round tables, and I am sure that in just half a year some new high-quality facilities will be already handed over
The President of the Road builders Association of the Irkutsk region Nikolay Khitsenko noted that the road industry was one of the most important branches of Russian national economy. He also emphasized the strong need for good quality roads, which could connect the Irkutsk region with other regions, and pointed out that all the enterprises which were members of the Road builders Association would do everything possible to implement the current plans.

On the opening day, a scientific and practical conference «Transport infrastructure development of the Irkutsk region is the basis of regional economic growth» took place. It was organized by the Committee on Transport of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Construction and Road facilities of the Irkutsk region, the Ministry of Housing policy, Energy and Transport of the Irkutsk region, the Road builders Association of the Irkutsk region, Irkutsk National Research Technical University, Irkutsk State Transport University and Irkutsk State University. The speakers discussed the project «Safe high-quality roads», considered problematic issues, made suggestions and summed up the results of the projects. The reports were about life-cycle contracts, the amount of money allocated for the road construction and improvement of the road quality, environmentally friendly fuels, subsidized routes, tasks in the field of internal transport (opening of new routes), usage of new passenger trains, suburban railways, introduction of modern available technologies and much more.
The Ministry of Housing policy, Energy and Transport of the Irkutsk region, Irkutsk National Research Technical University and Irkutsk State Transport University held a round table, dedicated to the usage of environmentally friendly vehicles and its development. Furthermore, the discussion touched upon the latest technologies, preparation and implementation of the road industry's updated standards and digitalization.
On the same day, Irkutsk National Research Technical University together with the Ministry of Construction and Road facilities of the Irkutsk region held another round table, called «Effective technologies and innovations in road construction. Ways to improve quality and productivity». The representatives spoke about their production activities, discussed projects and innovations, touched upon public urban transport, establishment of new means of transportation, talked about economic prospects, development of electric transport, development of the market in this area etc.
