On May 21st , the opening of the largest exhibition «Baikal Construction Week» took place.
On May 21st , the large specialized exhibition «Baikal Construction Week» opened its doors. It unfolded on the open area and in the first pavilion of Sibexpocentre. The event has more than one hundred companies engaged in construction, decoration, design of low-rise buildings. All days of the exhibition, visitors have a unique opportunity to consult with the experts, choose building material among a large number of products and find a reliable contractors.
At the solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition, the Governor of the Irkutsk Region Sergey Georgievich Levchenko made a welcoming speech:
«Baikal Construction Week» over the years of its existence has established itself as a major professional event, that completely reflects the realities of the building materials market. This exhibition is an effective event for the promotion of goods in the consumer market of the region and it is aimed to support domestic producers. Let the exhibition in 2019 year become the most promising direction of all parts of the construction complex!»
The floor was given to the General Director of the Irkutsk Region Union of Constructors, Brovko Viktor Alexandrovich: «According to tradition, already 24 times on the court of Sibexpocentre leading construction companies are demonstrating their innovative technology, equipment, the latest modern products. For today, the construction exhibition is one of the most important. I expect and hope that this occasion will be an important event for the whole building society.»
President of the "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia" Union Sobol Alexey Ivanovich noted:
«I suppose the exhibition, which is connected with construction, is one of the most interesting events that are held at Sibexpocentre. It attracts a lot of attention from the region’s inhabitants. And, judging by the number of exhibitors and guests, this industry will be developing, because there is every reason for this.»
General Director of «Sibexpocentre» JSC Andrey Gennadyevich Shapovalov performed with words of thanks:

Guests and specialists will enjoy an intense business program. It discussed two important issues at the opening day of the exhibition. The first one is the panel discussion «Construction Industry of the Region as the Basis for the Successful Implementation of Regional Plans for Construction of Objects» which highlighted the topic on support for manufacturers of building materials, as in Irkutsk region there are various mechanisms and institutions in this direction, which many do not know. The speakers helped to understand where should apply, what documents and requirements are needed. The second one – «Implementation of ITM modeling in the design of objects and the industry of building materials. Changes in legislation.» The seminar presented the Irkutsk experience in digitalization of projects that are already being implemented. Moscow colleagues also shared their experience in the development of this type of design.
The exhibition «Baikal Construction Week» brought together large companies of Irkutsk, which presented a wide range of products and services. Various informational events will be held here, which will rise the most topical issues in the construction industry. It is important to note that the event will be interesting both for specialists in this field and for residents of the region who are going to be engaged in construction.
