The "Baikaltour" exhibition - expanding the horizons

Everyone will have a unique chance to get acquainted with tourist opportunities and potential of our region, Russia as whole and foreign countries at the international tourist exhibition "Baikaltour", which will be held at “Sibexpocentre” from March 26th to 28th, 2020.

The Agency for Tourism of Irkutsk Region is a co-organizer of the event, presenting the region tourism potential. Representatives will prepare an interesting and rich business program where they will discuss the most important questions.

At the opening day, March 26th , according to good tradition, the international forum "Time to relax at Lake Baikal" will be held, where speakers will discuss new opportunities for development of the territory, will announce strategy 2035 – the vectors for development of domestic and inbound tourism, talk about subsidy programs and talk about e-visa practices.

Traditionally, in the framework of the exhibition there will be round tables and meetings that will address such important topics as ecotourism, integration of Siberia into all-Russian tourist product, as well as new technologies and features of services provision by individual accommodation facilities.

March 27th will be no less busy day: educational projects “School of Guides”, as well as “Creation and Promotion of Tourist Product” will be held. There will be round tables on the topic “Monuments of archeology and history previously unused in the excursion aspect as a promising resource for tourism development o”, “Start-up in tourism”, “Tourism in rural areas: experience, problems, prospects”," New approaches to development of health-improving and inclusive tourism. "In addition, the Tourism Agency will organize an international meeting on Great Lakes of Asia project.

The next day, March 28th , we’ll invite everyone to visit the round tables at which speakers will talk about scientific tourism on Lake Baikal and touch on the topic of gastronomic tourism. Regarding the entertainment program, all visitors of exhibition will have a good opportunity to take part in the “Silver Traveler” quiz. At the same day, ANO "Baikal" will hold its traditional festival of national dishes, "Flavor of Baikal."

The event will be attended by a large number of experts in this field who will come to exhibition site of Sibexpocentre from different regions. Thanks to this, exhibitors will be able to exchange experiences and discover a lot of new and interesting things.
