The ‘Baikaltour’ exhibition traditionally demonstrates the Baikal region as the perspective territory for development of active tourism, sport and recreation, represents the potential of tourist opportunities of regions of Siberia and the Far East and also promotes development of cooperation with the tourism industry of the Asian-Oceanian countries. 

Organisers of the exhibition: Tourism Agency of the Irkutsk Region, Sibexpocentre OJSC- member of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs 

With the assistance of: Government of Irkutsk Region, Administration of the city of Irkutsk, Committee on Tourism, Resort and Recreation, Restaurant and Hotel Activities at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia, Partnership of Producers and Entrepreneurs Irkutsk regional association of employers, Siberian Baikal Tourism Association, Russian-German Chamber of commerce. 

The international tourist forum ‘Time to Relax at Lake Baikal’  will be held in the framework of the exhibition. This forum is organized by Tourism Agency of the Irkutsk Region and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern Siberia. Topics that will be discussed at the forum are relevant for all tour operators working in special natural areas. Also, the exhibition’s business program will focus on ecotourism, new technologies in tourism, classification and legal regulation in the hotel sector.

Traditionally, there also will be  the school for guides, Gastronomic festival ‘Taste of Baikal’ and Quiz ‘A silver traveler’. 

An international meeting on the ‘Great Lakes of Asia’ project will be held. 

The exhibition ‘Baikaltour’ will be interesting to all specialists of the tourism sector. In addition to the huge variety of necessary and useful information, there will be a huge number of experts in this field who will come to the Sibexpocentre from different regions. In this regard, exhibitors will be able to exchange experiences and discover a lot of new and interesting things.
