‘Siberia food products. Packaging. Equipment’ opened its doors the ‘Sibexpocentre’.
Opening ceremony of the 27th specialized exhibition ‘Siberian food products’ was held on April 27 at the ‘Sibexpocentre’ exhibition complex. For most of the citizens, this exhibition is big and tasty festival on the assumption of the Easter and May holidays and also is a great opportunity to purchase food for festive table.
At the opening ceremony Irkutsk state agrarian university named after A.A. Ezhevsky organized concert program. After the performances, Deputy Governor of the Irkutsk region Anatoly Prokopev made his welcoming speech:
This exhibition is the platform for dialog, exchange of experience, demonstration of new technologies, new approaches to the problem solution and problems, which we have today on the food market. Today, there are a lot of demands on the quality of finished products. Our residents want to see the products of local manufacturers on market. This is an incentive for us to work actively to achieve such a goal. The Governor of the Irkutsk Region, Igor Kobzev, set a task - our municipal institutions should receive food from local agricultural producers. There are already cities, districts where the percentage of deliveries from local agricultural producers is 85% in our region.
Next, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Irkutsk Region Kuzma Aldarov made his report:
We are actively supplying food products to our neighbors Mongolia and China. Before the New Year in these countries there was a problem with a shortage of eggs, and they were forced to adopt separate regulations to allow import of our food. Agriculture is the basis of the production and processing of food products. We pay a lot of attention to development of this sphere. Agriculture requires both modern legislation and proper funding. At the same time, all our enterprises need stability and confidence in their future. We are ready to develop and pass laws supporting agriculture, and to increase the amount of funding. I would like to wish all the exhibitors new business contacts, pleasant and useful communication, success and good luck!
Minister of Agriculture of the Irkutsk region Ilya Sumarokov congratulated all the participants and visitors on the opening of the exhibition:
Our annual exhibition ‘Siberian food products’ is the real festival and also a unique opportunity to purchase novelties from local manufacturer, try a wide range of products. Of course, we are glad that our enterprises modernize their production. It is very important to be competitive both in the domestic and foreign markets. We should always move forward, modernize your production, introduce new technologies, new equipment. We always communicate with our colleagues from other regions, participate foreign exhibition and see new technologies and new kinds of food products, which are in demand now. It is very important for each manufacturer to feel the current need of the buyer and keep up with the times. As Mr. Aldarov mentioned, the main thing is stability. Economic development, consumer demand and the opportunity to purchase this tasty product are very important. Manufacturers need to use state support measures to continue developing.
Minister of Agriculture also noted that the business program of the exhibition is very interesting and relevant:
In the frames of our exhibition there are business program and round tables, which are dedicated to the digitalization of agriculture, creation of a unified digital platform for agricultural land. We will discuss the entry into force of new federal requirements for the labeling of dairy products, the development of a system for the procurement, processing and marketing of wild-growing raw materials.

Dmitry Baimashev, Chairman of the Non-Commercial Partnership ‘Union of Food and Processing Industry Enterprises’ also made his speech:
I would like to thank ‘Sibexpocentre’ for courage and organization of this exhibition. Thanks to all the participants, who came to the exhibition and support it. We have a unique opportunity to discuss important topics of the industry.
Group of enterprises ‘Yanta’, LLC ‘Sayanskiy broiler’, agricultural enterprises ‘Belorechenskoye’ JSC, ‘Karavay’ JSC and others, who have received the right to use the ‘Products of Angara region’ trademark will participate the exhibition.
It is also important to note participants of the first craft fair. Among them there are: manufacturer of the oil ‘Davim maslo’, producer of puree from berries ‘Fineberry’, association of producers of Siberia ‘Dikorosy’, sauces and jams from ‘LesDelikates’, as well as handmade chocolate from IE Velikosvetskaya I.A. The main distinguishing features of craft products are limited production, the use of only the best natural raw materials, the desire to satisfy the most refined tastes of gourmets and, as a result, a high price.
We would like to invite all visitors to attend chef organized events: ‘Wildflowers for food’on April 28 and ‘Dishes for lunch for 20 minutes’ organized by ICook studio.
