The most delicious exhibition - ‘Agricultural Week’ exhibition completed its work

The 24th ‘Agricultural Week’ specialised exhibition of equipment and machinery completed its work. All those who are directly related to agriculture came together here. Many ideas and tasks were realized at the exhibition: products were sold, novelties were exhibited, there were special offers and favorable prices, regional representations told about their discoveries, developments, victories and future plans. Already beloved traditional contests and drawing were held. The results of work on development of the agricultural industry, future plans and prospects were discussed on the roundtables.

During all days of the exhibition there were round tables which were attended by farmers, agronomists, livestock breeders and farm machinery operators. On October 24 the ‘Development of processing of agricultural products, food production and expansion of distribution channels’ round table was held by the Ministry of Agriculture of Irkutsk Region. Representatives spoke in detail about the development of processing industry programme, introduction of innovations, what difficulties in product promotion can arise, noted government support measures, provided information about the preferential programme, which includes lending to small and medium businesses, explained the mechanism of grant support and brought up others problematic issues.

The ministry also held another round table discussion on the new vector of agricultural development. On this event speakers raised the topic of existence of the database of all agricultural enterprises, thanks to which it is possible to trace the dynamics of the enterprise’s development, evaluate the forecast for the final result, and did not avoid the topic of improving the efficiency of farmland use. The ministry noted important projects that are planned to be launched soon. Among them, a project on livestock management and crop production, a project of smart contracts (receiving subsidies), from field to port: a twofold increase in agricultural production, a project of digital solutions for agribusiness and educational environment.

On October 25 at a meeting of the Council of non-profit partnership of peasant farms of Irkutsk Region changes of support to the young-gun farmers, including an increase in grants that exists today, granting a quota for areas and implementation of financing from the Ministry was announced. Also at the meeting the innovation – active development of goat breeding was noted.

In addition to the business programme the fourth ‘Baikal Pelmeni’ festival held by the ‘Komsomolskaya Pravda’ newspaper together with the Sibexpocentre was held on the scenic platform of the exhibition complex. Guests were pleased with children's dance groups and chefs who skillfully prepared delicious dishes. At the competition tasting of pelmeni from local producers traditionally took place, and winners in the different nominations were defined. It was not also without the championship on high-speed eating of pelmeni. Already for the third time Alexander Bashlykov became the winner.

Also within the exhibition, the ‘Irkutsk Brand’ closed tasting competition was held. The event is annual and contributes to the promotion of high-quality food and beverages to the regional market, the introduction of high-performance food production technologies using high-quality, environmentally friendly raw materials. This year, 23 enterprises presented to the expert commission 65 samples of goods, among which there were dairy products, meat semi-finished products, fish products, confectionery, bread and various beverages. According to the results of the ‘Irkutsk Brand’ competition, 42 samples of products of enterprises of food and processing industries of Angara Region were awarded with a gold medal and 13 - with a silver medal.

The exhibition presented a wide range of products. The event was attended by a large number of people, all guests could purchase meat products, fish, nuts, honey, oriental sweets, seasoning, confectionery, mushrooms, canned food, dairy products, vegetables and many other things. Exhibitors gave an opportunity to taste their goods, which was very convenient for buyers.

After deserved awards presentation to the winners of the competition, the ceremony of rewarding of exhibitors took place. The Golden Award was handed to the Ministry of Agriculture of Irkutsk Region, Zalarinsk District municipal formation, Kuitun District municipal formation, Tulun District municipal formation, Okinsky agricultural production cooperative, ‘Ziminskie kolbasy’ Kholod I.N. individual entrepreneur, Irkutsk Interregional Veterinary Laboratory, Irkutsk Food Production Facility Municipal Unitary Enterprise, Infant-feeding Centre, Laktovit Firm LLC and Helios JSC. The Grand Prix of the exhibition was presented to Bolsherechenskoe CJSC, Yanta group of enterprises, Irkutsk Bakery CJSC, TM KaseS, Sayansk Broiler LLC, Karavai JSC, Usolsky Svinokompleks JSC, Sharpinovskya Olga individual entrepreneur, as well as Ust-Ordyn Buryat District. In completion of rewarding traditionally there was the draw of prizes among the population from the exhibitors. Many people won pleasant prizes and received a great charge of positive emotions.

The ‘Agricultural Week’ exhibition brought together a large number of people, many came to the exhibition complex from far away to buy goods in one place and not to miss the existing promotions and discounts. Someone brought their kids to the holiday, because besides the products there was still a highly topical concert programme. Everyone received bright impressions from the event and purchased fresh products.
