Results of the XXV specialized exhibition «Transport and roads of Siberia. Special equipment»

On April 19 the results of the XXV specialized exhibition «Transport and roads of Siberia. Special equipment» were summed up. 16-19 of April Sibexpocentre brought together transport industry specialists who offered their services and demonstrated new types of advanced special equipment. In addition, the exhibition has become a center for solving important issues in the field of road construction and maintaining. Meetings, conferences and round tables, with discussions on the prospects, projects and tasks of the transport industry, were held during all exhibition days. Certainly, the exhibition was incredibly useful and gave impetus to the development of transport and road sector.

One of the most significant events of the exhibition was a scientific and practical conference «Transport infrastructure development of the Irkutsk region is the basis of regional economic growth». It was organized by the Committee on Transport of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Construction and Road facilities of the Irkutsk region, the Ministry of Housing policy, Energy and Transport of the Irkutsk region, the Road builders Association of the Irkutsk region, Irkutsk National Research Technical University, Irkutsk State Transport University and Irkutsk State University. During the conference representatives outlined goals and objectives of a project «Safe high-quality roads», the concept of further transport and road systems development, also summed up the results of the last projects and discussed a comprehensive plan for the modernization of transport infrastructure.

The range of activities was not limited to one conference. On April 17, the Ministry of Housing policy, Energy and Transport of the Irkutsk region together with Taxi Drivers Association of the Irkutsk region held the II conference on modern taxi, legislation and law enforcement practice. The event was attended by managers and representatives of taxi companies, taxi services, including Maxim, Yandex.Taxi and Saturn. The speakers raised the issues which both a passenger and a carrier face with. The main theme of the event was the imperfections in the legislation, namely the change of business technologies: the emergence of IT-companies as a taxi order service (aggregator), which was outside the legal field.

At the same time in the other conference hall the presentation of the brand SDLG, organized by Rusbusinessauto and representatives of the company SDLG itself, took place. Organizers spoke about location of SDLG, its activities, factories, authorized dealers, product quality, also focused on the international scheme of work, the products that the company represented and much more. A competition of professional skills among the operators of front-end loaders Top Driver SDLG became a memorable part of the exhibition. This large-scale show greatly impressed not only professionals, but also visitors who were too far from that field. The event was interesting for both adults and young viewers. It is important to note that such competitions were usually held in 32 Russian cities. For the first time ever, participants from Irkutsk completed a number of tasks on large front-end loaders weighing 5 tons, which could be considered as a milestone. 20 contestants struggled for the main prize – a trip to China to visit a SDLG factory. Participants found going through the route quite interesting, all of them completed the tasks and confidently operated machinery despite certain difficulties.

Traditionally on 18th of April Committee on Transport and Construction of the State Duma, the Ministry of Construction and Road facilities of the Irkutsk region, Irkutsk National Research Technical University, Irkutsk State Transport University and Irkutsk State University held a competition of students' creations, called «Walking makes the road». The participants put forward for discussion their new projects, the topics of which were the following: «Transport and pedestrian organization of public spaces», «New route network of public transport», «Conceptual approach to the development of Uritsky street», «Development of the Irkutsk agglomeration's transport model» and much more. As noted by the Minister of Construction and Road facilities of the Irkutsk region Svetlana Svirkina, that contest played an important role in the transport and roads sector. She also pointed out that students works had to be promoted and taken into consideration. It was highly important to help students develop necessary skills in order to further improve the personnel policy.

Of course, the exhibition «Transport and roads of Siberia. Special equipment» did not leave the participants unrewarded. Rusbusinessavto LLC became a grand prize winner. Gold winners of the exhibition were chosen the following companies: the branch of RZD OJSC, RN-SPECTR LLC, Baikal-Autotruck-Service LLC, KORRUS-Tech LLC, Professional LLC, Filtex LLC, Career machinery LLC, Sumitec International LLC, Machines and mechanisms LLC and Bobcat Center LLC. Silver awards went to the Road builders Association of the Irkutsk region, Kemerovo experienced Mechanical Repair Plant JSC, a branch of Roszheldorproject - Irkutskzheldorproekt JSC, Technical Center LLC, Multifield company «Indoor» JSC, Machine building company «KRANEKS» LLC, Scientific Industrial Association «Legion» LLC , Eland LLC, the general information partner magazine «Grader» and Nikalid LLC.

A great deal of work have been done at the Sibexpocentre venue during the exhibition days: topical issues were resolved, new tasks were set. The participants could share their experience not only among each other, but also with the guests. A lot of long-term contracts were concluded during these days. Furthermore, the exhibitors came into new partner contacts and had a chance to see for themselves the special equipment which nowadays has a dominant position in the industry market. And most importantly, everyone was able to contribute to the development of this field in our region.
