On October 9 the jubilee ‘Siberian Health Care. Dentistry’ exhibition opened
On October 9, the opening of the 25th jubilee ‘Siberian Health Care’ exhibition and the 10th ‘Dentistry’ exhibition took place in Sibexpocentre Exhibition Complex. All those who are closely connected to medicine came together at the specialised exhibition to discuss important topics, provide medical assistance to residents of Irkutsk Region and exchange experiences.
At the opening ceremony Artem Lobkov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Healthcare and Social Protection of the Legislative Assembly of Irkutsk Region made a welcoming speech:
Exhibitions related to the health of people are held not for the first time in our city, they are deservedly popular. Today's exhibition, in my opinion, is special, because it is aimed at the residents of our region to get acquainted with the achievements and services that medical institutions represent.
Further the solemn speech was made by Oleg Yaroshenko, Minister of Health of Irkutsk Region:
Today the exhibition is anniversary, this year it is twenty five years old. And all these years our dear organizers give a chance to medical organizations, the Ministry of Health of Irkutsk Region, producers, suppliers of the modern medical equipment and medicines to meet here at the pavilion stands. Experts will be able to exchange opinions, transfer new technologies, and the most important is that the exhibition will widely open doors for the population of Irkutsk Region.
Andrei Shapovalov, General Director of Sibexpocentre OJSC addressed the audience with words of greetings:
I want to thank everyone engaged in making this exhibition with us, everyone who created it for 25 years. Of course, I want to express my gratitude to the participants, who by their work prove that our medicine is developing, and this is good news. Special thanks to our co-organizers - the Government and Irkutsk participants, as well as exhibitors from other regions of the Russian Federation who come to the exhibition and bring all the newest and most interesting. I want to wish you all successful work, and the guests fruitful communication with experts. I declare the exhibition open!
After the opening ceremony the traditional round of the expositions took place. Exhibitors told about all the opportunities which they provide not only at the exhibition, but also directly in the institutions. Participants shared information on achievements in development of the latest technologies and expressed gratitude to the Government for support and development assistance. Representatives of the Government shared the impressions and wished all participants success, development and fruitful work.
Exhibition stands impress with the equipment: they are aimed at showing the residents what advanced technologies exist and what kind of help specialists can provide.Thanks to the exhibition the medicine becomes more available to people, and citizens have an opportunity to become more informed. The ‘Siberian Health Care. Dentistry’ exhibition is very useful not only to visitors, but also to representatives of the industry. The event will host important lectures for neurologists, dentists, oncologists, general practitioners and other medical professionals. On the opening day in the conference hall of the first pavilion within the III Baikal Dental ‘Aesthetic Dentistry’ Forum the ‘Everything about veneers. Aesthetic rehabilitation’ seminar took place. Alexander Pershin, Lecturer, Orthopedist in private practice in St. Petersburg told about the micro prosthetic dentures that are being installed by experts on the front surface of the teeth, and explained how to properly prepare the tooth before installing veneers. Alexander Pershin described the micro prosthetic dentures fixation technology and explained in detail what to do if a mistake was made when attaching veneer.
In the conference room of the second pavilion there were ‘Early diagnosis of stroke’ and the ‘First aid at acute myocardial infarction’ lectures for the population organized by the ‘Znak Pocheta’ Irkutsk regional clinical hospital. Speakers told about statistics of patients with stroke, specified where people with the arisen signs which aid of risk of a stroke and heart attack need to address. Lecturers mentioned the first signs indicating developing of a stroke and heart attack in detail, told about stages at which there is an opportunity to help the patient and also explained how it is possible to help the person to avoid a lethal outcome. In conclusion of lectures experts answered all questions and explained the problems faced by the visitors.
After the lecture there was a seminar for neurologists ‘Reducing mortality from cerebrovascular diseases’, which was conducted by the Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education of the Ministry of Health of Russia. The lecture was in reference to the awareness of the population about the risk factors of the circulatory system disease, as well as normative legal documents of measures to reduce mortality from cerebrovascular diseases. In addition, the speakers described in detail the statistics of the mortality rate of the disease, called on all specialists to pay more attention to the level at which assistance is being provided to the category of citizens with similar diseases. It was noted that it is important for specialists to understand what morbidity, mortality, lethality are, and how all these activities are performed, as well as the importance of introducing teaching aid programmes for schoolchildren and teenagers.
During the work of the ‘Siberian Health Care. Dentistry’ exhibition all guests will be able to measure the arterial tension absolutely free of charge, be tested for glucose and cholesterol in blood, also to be tested for HIV infection, if necessary, donors also can donate blood. In addition, anyone will be able to make fluorography, cardiography, make ultrasound investigation, flu and morbilli vaccine, visit dermatologists, check eyesight, consult a dentist, purchase taiga sweets and many other things. Mobile complexes will work for young patients - these are ultrasound investigation of the thyroid gland, abdominal space, genitals, surgeons will give advice, surgeons will take place, vaccine prophylaxis and others will take place.
In addition to mobile complexes and consultations at the exhibition there will be useful master classes and flashmobs for visitors. Guests will be able to learn how to keep muscles in shape, get recommendations on Scandinavian walking, learn what to do for patients after myocardial infarction, how to plan a pregnancy, what simple rules to follow for people with diabetes, how to provide primary care for injuries and accidents, and what to do to prevent iron deficiency in an organism and many other things. For specialists, seminars, lectures, scientific conferences and round tables are foreseen. On them the topics ‘Lean-technologies in organizing the work of the polyclinic’, ‘Preventing tuberculosis’, ‘The main aspects of the work of the general practitioner with patients with diabetes mellitus’, ‘Surgical treatment of benign diseases of the thyroid gland’, ‘Early diagnosis of cancer’, ‘Diagnosis of oncological diseases of the oral cavity’, ’Implantation and prosthetics on implants with a conical connection - C1’, ‘Actual problems of cerebrovascular pathology’ and many other topics will be covered.
The exhibition works daily from October 9 to October 12. Guests can attend the event on October 10th and 11th from 10 am to 6 pm and also on October 12th from 10 am to 3 pm. You will be able to find more detailed programme on the page of the exhibition.
