April 17-20 in Sibexpocentre the ‘Transport and Roads of Siberia. Special Equipment’ exhibition will take place

On April 17-20, the 24th specialised ‘Transport and Roads of Siberia. Special Equipment’ exhibition of the road-building complex, transport industry and special equipment will be held in Sibexpocentre Exhibition Complex.

The event traditionally demonstrates the results of work of the transport industry for the year, helps to establish a dialogue between business and government. The exposition of commercial vehicles, road-building machinery, equipment and spare parts from the leading tractor, mechanical, automobile plants of Russia will be presented on exhibition platforms, also the participants will present their services on construction and repair of highways, design and survey works, etc.

On April 18, in the conference hall №2 of Sibexpocentre for the first time the ‘Prospects of development of gas engine and electric vehicles on the roads of Irkutsk Region’ round table will be held with the participation of the members of the Nissan Leaf Baikal club and the Interregional Association of Eco-Friendly Transport. The event will fully consider the issue of operating this type of transport in the region, ways to improve it, as well as the relevant topic of creation of the infrastructure for its maintenance.   

The large ‘Modern Taxi. Legislation and Law-Enforcement Practice’ conference devoted to the state regulation of passenger transportation by cars, regional problems in the taxi industry and also prospects of development of taxi order service in Irkutsk Region will become one more event of the exhibition.    

In continuation of the highly topical business programme on April 19 the Transport Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Construction and Road Management of Irkutsk Region will hold the ‘Olkhon - the road of innovations’ scientific and technical council. The preliminary results of the work on design of the Bayandai-Elantsy-Khuzhir road section from the berthing facilities on the Olkhon Island to the Khuzhir settlement will be announced at the meeting, the main problems and ways of their solution will be demonstrated. Further there will be the presentations of innovative technologies, equipment and materials, application of which is possible on this site.

This year, for the first time within the exhibition, there will be the ‘Bogatyr Baikala’ tournament on power extreme among men, in which 10 strongest weightlifters from Irkutsk and other regions of Russia will take part. On April 18, at the open area of Sibexpocentre, the participants of the tournament will perform the most complex power exercises using a multi-kilogram barbell strengthened by wheels, edging tires K700 weighing more than 350 kilograms, transfer of a big wheel from KAMAZ, and demonstration of the elements of the show programme for towing and lifting special equipment. The spectators of the tournament will be able to take part in the arm wrestling competitions for the prize from Sibexpocentre OJSC.  

Special guest of the competition is Sergey Surov from Krasnoyarsk, Master of sports of international class in powerlifting, repeat winner of the competitions in weightlifting. The judge of the competitions is Oksana «Skala» Kosheleva from Irkutsk, master of sports of Russia in powerlifting, one of the strongest women of Russia and the world in the towing of the multiton technique. April 17 from 11:30 to 12:00 in the conference hall № 2 of Sibexpocentre there will be an extended press conference with organisers and participants of the tournament.
